Polyetherimide (PEI)
Polyetherimide (PEI) is an amorphus high temperature plastic with a glass transition temperature of 215 C. The polyetherimide is in natural form yellow transparent. The properties are almost identical to PES. PEI has better mechanical properties, UV resistance and lower smoke emission than PES. But the temperature properties and the chemical and hydrolysis resistance are slightly better at PES.
