Polypropylene (PP)
Polypropylene (PP) is a semi-crystalline commodity. Polypropylene can occur as a homopolymer, random or block copolymer depending on the polymerization method.Polypropylene can also be mixed with elastomers e g EPDM), filled with talc (chalk) or reinforced with glass-fibre. In this way it is possible to obtain more grades with widely differing characteristics than can be achieved for any other plastic. Certain grades of Polypropylene can handle a continuous temperature of 100 C plus peaks of up to 140 C, and can therefore be classified as engineering plastics.
PP Properties
ISPLEN®
Mape Plastics offer a broad variety of PP in several grades from world leading producers.
Our partner Repsol and their product ISPLEN®, offer different PP grades for many different areas, like medical healthcare applications for example. Repsol offer technical solutions to all kinds of markets in need of polypropylene.
Rialfill® and Rialglass®
Rialti offer a broad range of polypropylene compounds, including Rialfill® and Rialglass®. Rialfill® consists of compounds filled with fibres and fillers of mineral origin such as talc, wollastonite, calcium carbonate, mica, kaolin, barium sulphate, natural and synthetic. Rialglass® consists of compounds reinforced with glass fibres, glass beads and with mineral fillers + glass fibres. Rialti has a wide range of choices for flow rate, stabilizers, appearance and much more.
