It is with great sorrow that we must announce the passing of our Managing Director and founder, Magnus Waldenström. He passed away peacefully on New Year’s Eve after a period of illness. Magnus was diagnosed with a brain tumor just over a year ago.

He leaves us in deep sorrow and will be greatly missed. Magnus’ dedication to the company, his optimism, and his strong belief in the future are values we carry with us into the new year and beyond.

Magnus founded Mape Plastics together with his twin brother, Per Waldenström, in 2001. Prior to that, they worked side by side for more than ten years.

– Magnus was a wonderful brother and business partner. As twins, we complemented each other perfectly,” says Per Waldenström.

The employees at Mape Plastics remember Magnus with great warmth. Not least his son, Carl Waldenström, who has worked at the company since 2020.

– Magnus’ personality has shaped the entire company and its culture, and we are committed to carrying that spirit forward, says Carl Waldenström.
