Hi Per Waldenström, what are your thoughts on the past year?

– It has been a good but different year. Despite some uncertainty in the world, we have had great chances to develop and deliver, including with several new customers, which is satisfactory.

In 2021, Mape Plastics celebrated 20 years, how would you describe that journey?

– It has been fantastic! In the first years of our journey, we built up our product portfolio at the same time as we visited a lot of end-users and customers. Today we have a very close relationship with our suppliers and use that contact and our knowledge to improve the plastics industry through the right materials for the right applications.

– We also see an exciting development in more sustainable solutions and reproducible materials, something that the market demands.

– A major milestone is that we have just become an official distributor for Lanxess, a fantastic supplier that makes very exciting things within E-mobility, with it’s brands Durethan (PA) and Pocan (PBT). Perfect for lightweight components that drives the future of a more sustainable automotive industry.

What do you look forward to in 2022?

– Above all, to find more new exciting projects, that’s what I’m passionate about. There’s a lot of interesting projects for example in the medical sector as well as the electrification of cars.

– I also look forward continuing to build a nice company and have fun together. We will put in another gear, become even more visible in our neighboring countries and will continue to grow our team in 2022.
